Cory concern

petluvr is right, and I missed it yesterday that you had no nitrates. Just going on cory behavior. But if you're not showing nitrates, you're tank has not finished cycling yet. And that's going to be stressful on the fish. Until you see nitrates, you'll have to keep diligently testing to look for ammonia and nitrite so you don't loose the fish. And whenever you see ammonia or nitrite readings of any sort, you'll need to do a water change to dilute them.

Are you using a liquid test kit for water parameters?

I tested again and the nitrate levels are at 5 this morning and the nitrite and ammo levels are still 0 the PH is still up around 8. The cory's are a little more active today. I am using an API liquid test kit.

Parameters look good Chip. Have you ever tested your ph out of the tap? When you get a minute, run that and post what it is.

I took the Cory back. Now it is just my 3 guppies. i will be sure to make sure my ank is fully cycled before adding anymore fish.

So now i did a 50% water change yesterday and tested again:
PH-8
Nitrate-5
nitrite-0
ammonia-1.0
should I do another water change to lower the ammo level?
