Outstanding, Paul! The binata flower is amazing!

very nice looking pics paul.. also have a quick question do the binata's or sundews in gerneral require a dormanacy period like the VFT and Sarr?

The North American Drosera spp. (ie. intermedia, rotundifolia, filiformis, etc.) should be allowed to go dormant. D. binata is from New Zealand and Australia and while it is technically a temperate dew is doesn't NEED a dormant period to grow strong. However it will go dormant and die down to its roots if the temperature drops I think below 50F or so, IIRC. It seems most people allow it to and others don't but I don't think it is as cold tolerant as the NA species either. Others like pygmy Drosera spp. from Australia have their own dormancy during the hot, dry summers and return to growing in the winter.

Thanks jpappy and since I have the attention of the resident Drosera expert my follow up question is where does the D. Capensis land among those groups.. seeing as how I rescued one from a nursery today.
