CP terraium - Plants only

Go for it Mellow!

I'm super excited to place my cobraplant order (I have it all saved in my cart LOL). Hopefully it will be soon!

What's your target temp/humidity levels? I'm trying to keep my humidity steady around 50% but the sphagnum holds moisture so well I can't mist the plants without it practically raining in the tank. The lights alone keep the tank at 80F and I'm hoping that is not too hot long term.

The adelae should be fine under those conditions, Pap. Out of curiosity, what are you ordering? I should be getting my Cephalotus today!

As far as target levels, I try to keep the neps around 60-65%ish humidity. The temp fluctuates between 80 with the lights on to 65 or so at night which is right about where I want to be.

The Droseras are around 50% humidity with the same temp fluctuation with as the neps.

Hmmm...that's about where all my levels are at. I'm just curious because one of the adelaes is turning brown and starting to curl up. It was the largest of the three too. The others still look fine.

I'm thinking...

-D. spatulata
-D. capensis
-N. ventricosa
-P. montezuma (maybe)

And depending on how these guys do maybe another adelae.

How are you watering them? I leave mine in a little bit of standing water since the droseras like to be kept pretty moist. The only other thing I can think of is light. Mine are on about 16 hours atm.

It almost makes sense that it would be water if it's the biggest one that's showing stress. But I'm still pretty new to all this, so that's just a guess.

I love your list! I think you'll really dig the ventricosa. It's one of my favs, and the capensis is growing like mad. I had a spatulata, was actually my first plant, but it died due to my own errors. I'm glad to say it's been the only casualty so far.

And finally, the long awaited (by me anyway) cephalotus follicularis... australian pitcher plant.

Just unwrapped him a couple hours ago...

Just to give an idea how tiny this guy is, that's my pinky finger:

wow they are small. Good luck with them!

Lights are on about 14 hours (10 am-12 am). I was wondering maybe the lighting was too intense (about 80w cfl) since I've read adelaes are more of a shade/filtered light CP.

They get water from mistings right now, at least once a day. I try to keep the soil pretty moist.

The lights should be fine. I've got >200w over my 10g drosera tank. I would try putting the pot in a small dish of standing distilled water. I bet few days to a weak and it'll start coming back.
