Oh in Sac dang your up north. Here its be high 80's and mid 90's my family is all complaining bout the heat and me I was complaining but now Ive adjusted so all I need is my two bed room windows open and my fan on and im set. I prefer winter though.
Hey I was trying to find some info about CP's but didnt find much maybe you guys and gals can help. I was thinking if I were to do a mini bog I would want to do CP's native to California. Only problem is I have no idea which CP's come from where. Also I found one sight that named a few but not many. The list had sundews and pitchers but no Venus Fly Traps. This will prob become a lil project of mine after I finish my garden which hopefully Ill be able to finish the vast majority of it tomorrow.

VFTs (only one species) are technically native to the Carolinas but have been introduced to some areas in California with some success according to D' Amato.
For dews it seems that only rotundifolia, anglica, and D. ×obovata (hybrid of the previous two) are native to Cali although I'm sure you could grow most others with your climate. Most pitchers (Sarrs and Darlingtonia) are found in the south east although Darlingtonia californica is found in Northern California. Apparently there have been multiple introductions of other species though so depends on how loose you want the bog to be in terms of natives.

Oh ok. Nah I was thinking of doing just natives of California. If anything when the time comes Ill prob end up doing more then one Mini Bog outside.
