CP terraium - Plants only

Nice pics and the new guys look great.

LOL... I wish I had been able to buy them all! Thanks for the kind words all! I'm excited to see the jamban grow up. The pitchers are a really cool shape, and they stay relatively small.

Since I moved to a place with higher humidity, I took my droseras and less demanding neps out of the terrarium and made a miniature version of a grow rack. A friend of mine gave me a couple orchids as a house warming gift, so they're in there too. I'll have to get some pics up soon. So far, everything seems to be acclimating well!

Whered you move to?

In an interesting twist, my camera actually let me take and transfer the pics before the battery died.

So, the rack is 2' wide and about 30" tall. On top, I have the same terrarium I was using for the Heli, Ceph, and strict highland neps.

The bottom section is lit by a 2' 2bulb T5HO unit, and wrapped in white plastic around the back and sides (to reflect light and hold in some humididty). This part holds the intermediate neps and sundews. I also keep the front wrapped in (mostly) clear plastic, again to try and hold in some of the humidity.

I mentioned to a friend that I wanted to try growing some orchids, and she got me a couple as a housewarming present.

And some gratuitous closeups of the heli and the ceph, 'cause they're my favs, and they're doing so well! The ceph has at least 4 new pitchers starting out, and the heli has 2 new growths!

Can't wait to see what you come up with, Chris!

I just stopped into a local greenhouse and got talking about CPs with the owner. She said "yeah, we usually have fly traps". I asked about "the rest" and she said "what else is there?". LOLOL. We had a nice long talk about all the different species and such. She said she may be calling in the spring for a "consult". Hehe.
