CP terraium - Plants only

Lol that is the same deal that I couldn't pass up either..
LOL. I went because my friend's 7 year old daughter loves poison dart frogs,so we took her to see them. They have an astounding collection! I kept giving myself the talk all the way there... "I"m not gonna buy anything, I'm not gonna buy anything, I'm not...". Then when I saw the trays of them, my will was broken.

Wow I can believe I forgot to tell you how great the new set up looks Paul. I was also wondering whats your soil mix for your VFT seeing as you do not use the peat/perlite mix.. I am excited to see what you will use to fill in your new tanks.

Since school started for me this week I have been really busy with all my classes and internship leaving little time for fish and CPs. But luckily I decide to enroll in a digital photo class which will give me an excuse to take more pics of both of them. Please keep in mind that this is a beginners course and I am not a photographer.

Without any further delay.. My first attempt at photos.

Im using just straight up peatmoss for my vfts. Thats what they came in and thats what I left them in. You could also do one part sand: on part peat.

Thanks guys! Im really debating on what I should put into my Exo terras.
My next plants to order:
Nepenthes x kuchingensis
N. bellii
N. kongandana (need more info on it but can't find any)
N. lowii
Nepenthes ampullaria - Harlequin
maybe
Nepenthes x hookeriana Harlequin Red

I can tell you from experience, Paul; that N. Lowii is an ultra-highlander. Mine was slowly getting smaller until I started getting the night time drop in temps down to the low 60's. Now it seems to be starting to come back. It's a great plant, and I'm hoping to be able to keep it on the up-swing, but it really does need a hella drop in temps to do well. Just a thought.

X... your pics and plants look great!

Well it might do good in my basement. where it stays at nice cool 70. So have the lights on during the day to give it the heat that it needs and then the drop at night. But that means I need to set up a terrarium in my basement...:D

No sense setting up a whole terrarium for one plant though... might as well fill it up. :hitting:

updates... =)

Paul... I can't find anything on the Kong either. It's a LLer though. :thm: But I love a challenge, so I can't resist continuing the search.

Now, let's talk updates. I had to spend the whole morning playing with the rack/terrariums (I seem to have become somewhat of a hybrid of MacGuyver and Rube Goldberg, hehe; so I thought I'd take some pics.

I'll do it in a couple posts so as not to confuse myself...

Here's the terrariums and rack. Since I seem to update them pretty regularly, I'll put the Heli and Ceph in here too.

HL terrarium:

Heli/Ceph terrarium (hope my little buddha statue doesn't offend anyone... I just really like it in there):
