CP terrarium thread, continued

You could try some shop lights. They don't come with the cable to plug into the outlet so you would need to buy that and along with the bulbs. It is cheaper than buying one of those $100+ light set ups online. I have 2x2t5s on my highland setup, working pretty good.

Well the 24VAC power supply to my ultrasonic mister died over the weekend. So I'm going back to the old fashion way...like what they did in the Victorian age.:shakehead: Well until I get a replacement or something.

My first S. alata x minor opened up!

What should I put in these? Bottom tank is a 60g and the top is around 26g and it will be my display tank. But what to put in it...

Depends on what you want, dude. Personally, I'd go with intermediate neps... easy to care for and some of them are just amazing.

Anyway, here's my new rack set up. I've moved the terrariums to a dresser, and gave the rack a bunch more room. I just updated a lot of the plants, but I thought I'd throw in some of the non-carnivorous ones for a change... orchids and african violets. But, I couldn't resist a couple of the new copelandii pitcher that just opened up.

I plan to basically enclose the whole recess with insulating board and put a plastic (lexan?) front on it. Then put a screen frame over the top. It should give the rack some extra space as well as provide for a bit of climate control. I'm still working on ways to increase humidy. Got some ideas, but haven't had the chance to try anything out yet.

Looking good! Turn the lights on next time you take pics lol.

Well as far as my tank goes, it will get hot during the day. It is next to my LL tank in my bedroom on the top floor of my house. So it gets pretty hot in there and I'm not sure if intermediates like the heat. If I have a fan on it and an open top it might still be to hot and I'm not sure how I'm going to keep the humidity in there. I do have my humidifier right next to it, so I'll be splitting it between the both tanks. Oi...

Well that's just it. Temps get up above 85F and only get down to 80 during the night, well during the summer that is. During the winter its a different story. The 4 foot light that I have on it produces a LOT of heat. Haven't actually tried getting temp reading of the new tank yet, but my 55g LL gets up there.
