CP terrarium thread, continued

JB, thanks for the info. I did 2 cuttings yesturday. I also made 2 vertical slits following this thread. http://www.terraforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=114216
And today I bought some rooting hormones, so I'm gona make a 3rd cutting with the rooting hormone and see which does the best.

Thanks DP, I did however find this http://www.pineypower.com/webbsmill.htm Turns out the bog is turning into a lake because of a beaver dam... Hopefully something happens and it gets drained and the CPs survive.

Nice! I hope it does well. I just got done playing with the heli and the ceph. I'm going to try to get pics up in a little bit.

Just made an order from blackjungle. Heli minor, N. glabrata, N. izumiae, & N. vogelii. I also have Zoomed hydrotherm humidity/temp controller and mist maker float coming in the mail also. That will be for my 5 gallon bucket humidifier. I almost think I have it designed in my head.

Sweet! Pics are definitely called for. I'd love to hear more about the humidifier.

You guys and your CP's lol. I couldn't keep mine alive that I bought last year. All three died. I don't got the touch when it comes to CP's. Succulents on the other hand well is a different story. You guys got an updated CP plant list anywhere?

Gev... I'm going to be moving into my house soon, and was hoping to be able to have a couple of succulents as houseplants. Any suggestions?

Paul... I officially consider you a bad influence. I hadn't seen Black Jungle carry helis before, so I had to look. I couldn't resist odering an H. Nutans.

Anyway, I got some pics of the Heli and the Ceph.

The Heli has hit a pretty good growth spurt. I fertilized it for the first time this season about a week or so ago. The middle of this month, I'll to another Trichoderma drench. Then alternate every 2 weeks or so.

As I was playing with it today, I found another flower pushing out.

The Ceph is also growing well. It's developing pitchers that are easily 3 times the size of last year's. I also took some pullings/cuttings of flat leaves and a couple of last year's pitchers. If you look closely around the outer part of the pot, you can see where I've planted them. Hopefully one or two will take root. This will get the same fert/trich treatment schedule as the Heli.

JB, Your Heli and Ceph are getting big! (big by Ceph standards :grinyes:) Can't wait to see your heli flower bloom sometime next year! BlackJungle just got their Helis in like a week or 2 ago.
Well the humidifier is going to consist of a 5gal bucket with 1 maybe 2 hole drilled in the top of the lid.
Design 1: If I do the 2 hole design I will have the fan blow down in one hole and and the mist/forced air goes out the other side.
Design 2: 1 hole design, Have a upsidedown Y piece, 1 side connects to the bucket and the otherside has the fan constantly blowing up the rest of the tube into the tank. I don't know if I just confused everyone with this. I might do the second design mainly because I can have the fan on all the time, or have a second fan in the tank.
Design 3: Having the fan inline with everything, I can see a couple problems with this. So 3 is out.
Another thing I am thinking about, Tubing or PVC piping?
I'll draw a couple pics later.

Gev, my grow list is in my signature.

Next year... =P

The humidifier project sounds cool. Can't wait to see how you do it.

I totally forgot my growlist:

Heliamphora heterodoxa x minor
cephalotus follicularis

N. jambon
N. jaquelinea
N. lowii trusamadi
N. ventricosa
N. truncata
N. Copellandii
N. ventracosa x talengensis

D. scorpiodes
D. adelae
D. roseanna

There's some I'm forgetting, but that's most of them.
