Yeah, but how much would you love to be able to fill in application forms where it says "Job Title" with "Pirate". Imagine the bloke down the bank when you go for a mortgage!
They guy at my LFS does special orders for some rich folks in the area, where a colector has to go into the ocean and find the fish in question to aquire it. One time the collector told him, "I couldn't get the fish, we spotted a boat with a 50calibre machine gun out front that was coming for us and had to run for it!!!" He assumed it was drug smugglers, but it could have been pirates.125gJoe said:Modern day pirates seek out private sailboats off the Bahamas repeatedly. I would never sail a smaller 'vessel' without weapons off Florida on the Atlantic side. The Gulf side is rather quiet. Some like to blame the Bermuda Triangle. Vacationers on resorts in the islands have been robbed when straying past the resort boundaries. Anyway, adrift, empty sailboats are not that strange even now..
I totally agree that lethal force should be used against these "pirates".Harry Tolen said:Unfortunately, current defensive tactics are oriented towards driving the pirates away and/or deterring their attacks in the first place, which leaves the bad guys alive to try, try again.....
But if the pirates family lived in the US, they could sue you for killing or injuring thier relative. And if the boat was not to code, and they got hurt while boarding, you could get sued for that too.125gJoe said:I totally agree that lethal force should be used against these "pirates".
I'd sue the parents of the hoodlim "pirates" for everything they have, and more... How dare they turn loose such trash on society. They should be jailed for 'defective parenting'.sumthin fishy said:But if the pirates family lived in the US, they could sue you for killing or injuring thier relative. .
