I currently have the spray bar from my Eheim 2217 at a diagonal angle on the left side of my tank, blowing the water from left to right (intake is on the right).
But, most of my plants look like they have been swept to the right because of the force of the water. I want to have the spray bar horizontally across the side of the tank so the lower level plants (mostly crypts) are not battered so much, but currently the spray bar is too long.
If I cut it, besides probably increasing the force at which the water comes out, is there anything else I should worry about? I figure if I get annoyed with it I can always pick up a new spray bar.
