I read so much about how this is beneficial to not losing fish. Has anyone ever used this before? I know it's supposed to add beneficial bacteria into the tank, and supposedly creates a better environment for the fish, but I have no idea if that just marketing or the truth.

I have used it and It worked well for me. It helps eliviate the stress on the fish until it is set up. I lost no fish while using this product and I had 10 fish in a 35 gallon tank in November

Do you know if this can still be used after the tank is established?

If you're going to use some of the bacteria-based products that help with establishing the biological filtration you should look into Bio-Spira instead of Cycle.

I don't 'think' I need to establish my biological filtration, as I think my tank has cycled (maybe, consistent readings of Ammo 0, Rites 0, Rates 7) for a week. I had three fish die (see HERE) and I'm trying to see if there is anything out there that can help my fish out. I keep a clean tank, but I can't figure out why two of three died. I figured maybe adding some CYCLE wouldn't hurt.

I boaght an airstone wand than suctions up against the back of my tank for extra oxygen. If you cover it with gravel, it gives large bubles, if you don't cover it , it gives a nice veil of bubbles and more oxygen. It might help but couldn't hurt and it would look pretty too. :-)

Yeah, I do have an air stone set up already. Looks nice.

cycle says it works in both fresh and salt water, even though salt and fresh water both have completely different bacteria so that just explains that its bad.

Adding Cycle won't hurt anything, but it won't really help either, so you should probably just save your money. BioSpira is the only bacteria additive that has decently consistent results, but even that doesn't always work... for example, if it is not shipped or stored properly (refrigerated) then it is pretty worthless.
