So I had an interview today at my local fish store. There was a man and his daughter in buying a fish. It appeared to be a cichlid and he seemed to know a little about fish. Well the fish was lying on the counter in his bag. The man let that little girl hold the bag. She shook the bag and dropped it on the coutner! She squeezed the bag and then he asked if she wanted to carry the bag when they left. I wanted to scream! If I didn't have an interview I would have freaked out! I had to share my dramatic story! Maybe I shouldn't work in there, I would probably have a fit about people buying animals that they don't take care of.

maybe it would be a good idea for pet stores to label there bags "fragile, handle with care"

AAARRGGHH! Stupid parent stories kill me.

I really think everyone should be issued a paint ball gun with bright pink paint - and then when you see a parent doing something stupid, you shoot them. This way, you can identify the stupid parents at a distance and avoid them.

If only I were king.

just wait till some of you become parents....then you can join the "stupid parents" league. You may be good about handling fish...but I guarentee there will be SOME area...(but most likely areAS)... where that title will aptly apply...at least in the world that
your teenagers walk in !

Can you tell I'm a parent ! lol.... :D (TWO teenagers...and another one quickly approaching)...and I have definitely arrived at the "Stupid Parents" club of America. Been a full fledged member for the past ....I'd say...5 years.

i would have to say once you have kids that will change but untill then ..fire away, i have two young children and let me tell you i think they stole my brain cells as they were being "hatched"..lolif i had a penny for every thing that i could consider stupid that i have now donce since having kids man i would be richer than bill gates! ie: changing a stinky diaper only to stick my hand in it!
loading kids in car forgeting purse with a 800 hundred dollar check that i had just cashed in it in a parking lot, ( no, i did not ever get the money back, but the ourse was turned in to the store)..ect ect ect...stupidity seems to come with the teritory of kids!

Hey judge......I backed out of the garage with the car door open once and almost took the darn thing clean off !! I had glanced back over my right shoulder to be sure everyone was buckled in...and didn't notice that the door behind me was open...and of course, no one in the back seat bothered to tell me...

Yeah, you get stupid after having kids.....I just told my father recently after trying to get kids ready and out the door for school.... "Dad...I know why mom was so crazy....and it's happening to ME !"

You get to a point after a long day where you'll do just about anything to keep them quiet and happy so you can get some peace for just a few moments. I bet that's what that dad was thinking when he let his little girl.."play" with the fish....figuring it was more important to keep her happy, than keep the fish alive....so his head wouldn't explode on the way home in the car while the little miss is crying and whining all the way..

Here's a quote from Bill Gates.....

"Before you were born, your parents weren't as boring as they are now. They got that way from paying your bills, cleaning your clothes and listening to you talk about how cool you are. So before you save the rain forest from the parasites of your parent's generation, try delousing the closet in your own bedroom"

Hey, I think I'll post that whole schpiel on the "general discussions" thread....it's pretty helpful and informative for you younger folk if you take it to heart.

;)

ya but girls are more evil to animals than boys are. girls could care less about animals if they could.

When I was 4 I knew how to respect animals, thank you very much ;). It's all in the raising, if you teach them to respect animals they will, if you don't, well, they'll do what they want. Unfortunately, many girls are often taught early that they're appearence is more important than most other things.

jaylin, GREAT IDEA!!!! From now on ill start walking around with my full-auto Tippmann 98 Custom with 200 round of paint...anyone with a marking is not allowed within a 1,000 foot radius of any store that sells fish :D

yes...if only you were king
