RidIch has malachite green. PreventIch by the same company, Kordon, I think, is herbal. Maybe that's the one you were thinking of.

I will definetly be looking into a better filter for my tank but i was very suprised my balla shark died because the other balla is doing just fine and they do seem to be tuff fish. Btw i want to add a pleco in a day or two to help get rid of the algae do you think this is a good idea and afterword i would like to add another balla or some other fish like barbs but how long should i wait between adding more fish

Honestly, I don't think it would be wise to be adding fish right now. First you need to get your aquarium healthy, and prefferably get some more filtration on there. As far as the plecostomus goes, I'd strongly recommend you don't get one. Go for a chinese algae eater if you want one, or a few otocinclus, but pleco's get huge.... literally hitting 18-24" in length, and sometimes in shorter amounts of time than predicted. Beyond that, they need a much more varied diet than algae (and rarely eat algae once they begin maturing) including zucchini, romaine lettuce, squash, and eventually even some fish meat.

don't add any more fish PLEASE! plecos grow to almost 2' in lenght full-grown (I asume you are talking about aregualr pleco.) and tiger barbs are pretty aggressive. maybe a little too agressive. and you tank is too stocked anyway. just buy an algae scraper and clean it off yourself!

OK i will wait a bit b4 adding new fish i'm just starting to take the temps slowly back to 79 but why am i to stocked on fish i only have 3 zebras 3 white clouds 1 loach 1 balla and a dwarf frog but i would like to get an algae eater of some sort just to help with my algae problem besides the plecos and what recomendations do you guys have that would go well with my tank i'm talking about hardy fish that i wont have to worry about maybe some swordtails?

did you read what I said? it's much easier to just clean it off yourself, and more reliable, too. algae eaters are known for not being worthy at their supposed jobs.

THe thing is that i could get a pleco if i wanted because i am going to eventually get another tank in my room and it's going to be around a 70 gallon

common plecs need minimum 75, and that's only if they are housed alone with nothing else

I guess it's not an option then but i would like another type of algae eater to help me with the problem on top of me cleaning it myself but the thing that bugs me is wut could be causing deaths if my ammonia ph temps are all good? and y so all of a sudden btw my balas have A WHITE spot on there nose i call the pet store and they just said it was most likely a burn from the medication.
