did i use the right miracle grow organic? and shrimp.

for plants. do i need to buy totally new gravel?

You put potting mix into your tank, for plants? I've learned one very important lesson on Aquaria Central. Research before you do. Helps prevent costly mistakes. If you don't hit up Google, or whatever your search engine of choice is, ask the questions here. For instance, I saw dwarf puffers at my LFS, and thankfully, the rep that was nearby was the one that I talked to about initial set up, and he advised me away from them because they find snails tasty, and I have nerites that won't breed in freshwater. I also thought about acquiring GBRs for my tank, but was advised that they find shrimp to be nummy treats, and my RCS population isn't large enough to support that kind of predation.

You don't *need* anything other than regular gravel for plants. Good plant oriented substrates are better, but you don't *need* anything special.

do i really need to do the plants? i might can just get new gravel maybe. how many of bags do i need of the kind from walmart?

and instead of capping with gravel, u can get a 50lb bag of this pearl white sand from home depot for under $6 I think, talk to taari, she got some in her custom 5.5G tank.

ive actually read several times that miracle grow organic was ok and i hadnt noticed it said blood meal on it

dio i need to get rid of my plants and rocks since the stuff might have copper in it?

You can try boiling the rocks but don't know how your going to clean the blood meal off the plants. Best thing to do is get everything new so you don't take chances of killing off your shrimps.

Bummer just remember like carpentry measure twice cut once lol read them labels thoroughly
