Discussion thread: Connecticut get together (intrested?)

Yes, I've emailed the aquarium but no response yet, I'm going to call the office tomorrow and get a solid price on group rates and a possible behind-the-scenes tour. The dates being tossed around right now are October 22nd or 29th, Sundays seem to be a pretty open day across the board so far. I'll post again tomorrow hopefully with some more information. Like Emg said though, worst case, we just agree on a date and all show up. :o

id be interested, provided i can get a job before then to plan on leaving for a couple days. If i can, i should be able to make it. :D

Alright, just got off the phone with the aquarium. Here's the scoop. As Emg posted, to get a group rate we'll need at least 10 people, and have one person pay for the entire group as a whole, which I'm sure we could figure out. Prices are $9.50 for ages 3-17, and $13.50 for adults. Regular prices are $12.50 and $17.50, respectively.

They also offer a behind-the-scenes tour of the support systems, all the filtration units, feeding support and all that. She made a point of telling me that there's no contact with baby animals, etc, its just to see the support system of how the aquarium runs. These tours are a max of 15 people per group, and they charge $75 per group. They also need a reservation 2 weeks in advance.

So, now that we have some solid info, who would be for sure interested, and which date would be preferable?

I'm interested too.

Either date, I'm not sure if I'll be alone or not at this point in time.

I'm in for the 22nd, will let you know about the 29th

Looks like I'll be bringing the family... so put me down as 3.
