DIY - 55 Gal Stand

Very nice looking tank. I'm looking forward to seeing what it's going to look like with water and fish in there.

great looking stand. What type of board did you use for the outside? And the corners look very sharp and crisp. Did you fill and sand?

to answer your questions, yes I did use filler and sanded it so there were no seams, the bottom front section is actualy made up of 5 different pieces plus the 2 doors.

I used a particle board, I want to say MDF, 1/2" thick, I just looked for a board that was pretty light, but sturdy and the edges could be sanded down smooth.

Updated Pictures

Finally finshed, for now anyways, I know I definitly want more rocks in the future!

Now onto my next tank I guess, just waiting for the driftwood to stay sunken, hopefully it wont take too much longer

Any suggestions?

ps. I dont know whats up with my camera, think the lens needs cleaning, and I guess I should have cleaned the tank glass, but I am just too **** excited about it, not to show pictures right away!

pss. thanks for al the positive feedback so far...
