Hmmm... excellent ideas. I wonder.... might be fixing my own DIY canopy later this weekend... I currently have a Lexan top with a small box basically, holding the lights.

Looks great. One thing that I have noticed with my planted tank, is having a 65w bulb with a pink hue to it. It helps alot with the plant growth. I am not sure why it does that, but it looks great right now. Plants triple in size about every week.

yea i noticed that with my friends tank. He has a pink tube bulb in the front and 2 14w screw in fluorescent in the back.. and the plants tend to go for the pink light alot and show nice colors..

At the moment the canopy holds 4 14w bulbs and in the front i added a 50/50 10w bulb just to see if the actinic will do anything with the colors.. well it gives the fish a minor change in color, though looks nice

can you show me what brand or tell me what brand of screw in bulbs those are. cuz mine put out this ugly pee-yellow color and look terrible.
