Are those water proof(resistant) sockets?

And maybe a part # or something? Where to get'em?

The bulbs were the n:vision brand day lights, you can find them in home depot.

The pig tail light sockets are from HD as well, I doubt they were waterproof (for all I know, maybe they are), but they did have a rubber casing.

Looks great. One thing that I have noticed with my planted tank, is having a 65w bulb with a pink hue to it. It helps alot with the plant growth. I am not sure why it does that, but it looks great right now. Plants triple in size about every week.

idk if you saw it the other day when i posted but can you tell me what brand/type of flourecant bulb that is cuz mine produce an ugly yellow light and yours look great.

^^ Just make sure to get the Daylight version not soft white

Wow I must have skipped over this. I feel stupid for posting that other thread because this is exactly what I wanna do. I have the exact same tank, just acrylic. Do you think it will still work?

Dont see why it wouldnt
The hood went from holding screw in CFL bulbs.. to holding an ahsupply kit and few months down the road was sold with the tank
