DIY CO2 newbie support group

I said when doing DIY, not pressurized. From what I have read, DIY CO2 produces carbonic acid that goes through the fittings and can cause them to erode more quickly. This is the same problem with using standard airline tubing, from what I understand. Again, though, that's just from what I've read.
carbonic acid refers to the ph of carbon itself. it doesn't matter if it's diy co2 or pressurized co2, it's still co2 and acidic = carbonic acid. my statement is still relevant.

Carbonic Acid is produced when CO2 is dissolved in water. Whether or not it's DIY CO2 has absolutely nothing to do with it.

OK guys I figured out what my problem was. Since my last attempt of producing bubbles failed again (I have been sucessful the past 4 attempts) I thew that system away and had an epiphany...Just like Doc slipping off the toilet, hitting his head and dreamed of the flux capacitor, I saw my reactor and gas seperator in my head.

So I bought

The clear pieces.. 1 (1) gallon of Hawiian Fruit Punch, 1 Vit Water. I drilled 1 hole in the top of the punch and 2 in the top of the Vit water (gas seperator) Inserted the clear connectors and used SUPER GLUE (gel)

Here is where my problem was and WHY I wasnt getting bubbles. Originally I bought 1 kind of Yeast, well the store ran out and I had to use another kind.

I had to buy this

BUT what I had been buying was this

It was in lastnight, I bought it. Put the system together and had bubbles in 15 minutes. And very NICE thin bubbles.

Interesting. I have used both of those types of yeast before without issue. Have since switched to brewer's yeast but keep Fleishmann's on stand by in case I run out.

Well here's a piece of info related to that: The first picture it the kind i'm currently using in my functioning system.

Glad you got it working!

Well here is the difference, atleast in my case. I don't get a lot of bubbles with the regular version but with the Rapid Rise I get a butt load of bubbles.

I have bubbles! 1 every 11 seconds mind you...I did give the bottle a shake around 3pm so hopefully it will speed up a little, but soo happy I have something coming out!
