Alright everyone! I'm re-resiliconing my 75gal tank and some people asked me to keep them updated so here is my thread. Lots of pics will be up today, but until summer break I might not get much progress done during the week. Sorry. :(

Alright, here are the first set of pix:

Lastly, Work that needs to be done:

I need to get out all the little pieces of sand that I wasn't able to get out before

I also need to start and finish desiliconing the other edges of the tank

And then I'm going to wash it all down with vinegar and then scrape it one last time just to make sure that I got all the little pieces of silicone out. After that I'll wash it out with a hose and let it dry for a while to make sure when I get to replacing the silicone, water won't get stuck in there.

so ya! leave comments and tell me what you like/dislike about the job so far and my plans for future progress. ^_^

I think your doing a great job.:)
Final rinse should be water and then blow dry with compressed air.
Then let it bake in the sun a bit before applying new silicone. To make sure there is no trapped moisture.

Nice job
