DIY Spray bar redo

pretty sure the purple dye is fish safe, and in any case isn't likely to leach out of the glue.

S SumthinFishy , i suspect that the teflon tape would be to make it easier to unscrew and rescrew to joints. as you say, if the joint is over the water there's no real problem if a little leaks out. (same is true for sprinkler systems; you don't need to make the joints water-tight, you're just planning ahead for the inevitable repairs)

The purple is no problem, just unsightly. Primer is dyed purple so inspectors can see that the pipe was properly primed before cementing. You can buy clear primer, or just use acetone as suggested.

If you are going to leave it not painted, you can either get a clear primer, or just use acetone. The only reason they dye it purple is so you can remember if you primed it or not. Just a thought. Also, you really don't need the thread tape, if it leaks a little it will just leak into the tank right?
Good idea switching to the threaded ends though.
Hahahaha cool!

One of the things you have to take note of in choosing the right spray foam is its capability to fill in large holes or crack surfaces. The Handi-Foam Two Component Foam doesn't require moisture to cure the interior layers of the spray foam substance - its chemical component will do all the work.

You will want to make sure that your coating is nice and even if you go the spray-on window tint route. If you do a haphazard or rushed job, you may encounter some splotching later. That said, if you take the proper precautions, there's no reason why you shouldn't enjoy the glare-reducing and energy-saving benefits of a fine window tint at a fraction of the cost.
