Do fish bite?

I've been bitten by smaller species of bichir,as size decreases so do the size of the teeth so its actually a good pinch more than anything.I leaned from listening,that my medium sized bichir could hurt if it bit,the tank was 10 feet from my pc and everytime it took a fish i could hear the jaws slam shut.-Anne

I got bit by my red rainbow while I was doing something. I dis say 'ouch!' and sumpin else I can't say here but I luv him anyway.

My stepson was over at a friends house last fall. He was messing with the tank which happened to have a pirranah it. It bit his finger and wouldnt let go. He ended up getting stitches at the emergancy room. The doctors and nurse had a good time with that. andy

Jack Dempsey and the Cat

I had a Jact Dempsey in a 50 gallon aquarium. Also had a Siamese Cat that found out about the water and decided there was something more worth drinking than the waterbowl.

She started trying out Jack's tank water and he came up and nipped her good! She didn't see the fish and it freaked her out. After a couple times she discovered the side-filter (open top) and drank from that instead. >blech<
