I do beleive that fish feel pain, and I do everything in my power to make sure my fish are happy. however... I do not think that the people who are "disputing" that fish feel pain are trying to justify animal cruelty. they are just trying to display that the information is not fully reliable. they are denoucing the study, not the idea. they simply wish to have solid evidence placed in front of them.
