Do otos eat hair algae?

So the glass on my 15 is covered in hair algae, at least I think it's hair, (I like the look, and my angel picks at it from time to time) and I have 3 otos that I recently added expecting them to contently munch on that, but they don't seem to be touching it. Do they not eat hair algae? If not I'm worried that since it literally covers the glass there isn't enough of the algae they do eat in there (I have algae wafers but I don't want to supplement their diet if I don't have to). Thanks

Shrimps are good at eating algae. You can try amano shrimps.

i have hair algae growing on my tank... like thing long stringy hairs of algae

I agree that Otos won't touch hair algae (cladophora, evidently a different species than what makes marimo balls), I had a couple of Mollies that seemed to munch on it at least some. I disagree with hair algae not growing on glass. If other algae species colonize it, hair algae will also stick.
I'm having hair/black beard and slime problems, mostly because my CO2 solenoid crapped out, so my tank is off pending replacement of that.

The mollies thing had slipped my mind - maybe it's time to get some.

Haha, maybe! Yea I don't have any sort of CO2 injectors or anything so algae is uncontrolled in this specific tank. And I agree with you about the hair algae growing on glass, mine for sure is hair algae. Had a giant slime mold problem for a while too, but it disappeared (luckily). But yea, I don't mind the look of the hair algae on this tank since it's just a solid wall of pretty colored green, just like a background that I didn't have to buy and provides snacks for my angel.
