There are certainly species that have survived longer than only 200,000 years...not to mention when has any other species predicted their own extinction?

The oldest living animal species on Earth cannot be known for sure, because not every animal species or fossil has yet been discovered, but our current best guess is the horseshoe crab, which has remained pretty much unchanged since the Ordovician period, 445 million years ago. To put this in perspective, multicellular animals only appear in the fossil record about 600 million years ago, and the typical duration of an animal species is just a few million years. For instance, Tyrannosaurus rex lived for only about three million years. In contrast, the horseshoe crab has existed for about 74% of the time that animals in general have.
I think we have a bit of time left before it's all history, before some other life on this world digs up our bones and wonders about what we must have been like.

If the myans knew 2000+ years ago that the world was going to come to an end in 2012, Why havent we figured it out yet?

How many species have been intelligent, and how would we even know if they did or not? FUN FACT, 99% of all life on earth is extinct, 16% was wiped out in mass extinctions, the rest died because their DNA and chromosomes collapsed (or at least we think so)
The Mayan Calender ends there, um nostadamus predicted some kind of disaster on the date, some kind of machine used to predict stock markets said that the world would end on that date, um thats all i can remember lol.
