Well I wish there was a place where it got to be 90*F in the summer and 20*F in the winter, and snowed a WHOLE LOT. Missouri's got that, I guess, but it usually doesn't snow more than three inches per snowfall.

Where at in Missouri are you? My relatives in Saint Louis report just as miserable temps down there as we do up in Michigan... granted, not right now (it has been unseasonably warm there), but I always thought that they were just as 'unfortunate' as I.

you just described Jersey, sweetie ;) although I guess a few inches is pretty average, we do get our share of heavy snow though...

I like snow but I detest the cold. I'm a warm weather lover.

Work is cancelled; we have 6 more inches of snow over night here in Southeast, Michigan. This is on top of the 5 or so inches already fallen. Granted, all the roads were cleared since the last storm, but they looked untouched as of 7 am this morning. I got a call on my cell while clearing snow from my truck. That’s right, had to break out my Ram 2500 for this event! Anyway they called and said work is cancelled.

Now what should I do? Clean an aquarium… maybe dust? Nah – time to party! :p

Well AFG - I live close to STL, a few counties away, and yes, before christmas it was in the 10's, and the week before new year's it was in the 40's on like monday -wednesday, and by friday it was about to 60*F, maybe more than that.
The weathermen call it a "seasaw" and we are either on the "warm" or the "cold" end.

... But, you know - what you New England's call summer (or 'heat'), the rest of us call Spring!

 You are funny afg... You're in Michigan, right? You get lake effect snow? Bitter, bitter cold? I'd LOVE to live somewhere frosty .... Minneapolis, MN, Saskatoon Saskatchewan (Canada), Buffalo, NY...

My #1 all time favorite season is Fall (New England Fall - 40-55ish days, crisp 30-40 nites)... but close second is Frosty Winter! :D

I was born and raised in Boston, when I snowboarded I loved snow. Over the past few years I've learned to hate the snow, but I don't think I could live somewhere where that doesn't have snow, and I'll never give up New England in the fall...

Dwayne, where I live (45 minutes southwest of Detroit) in Michigan, we do not get lake effect snow. The closest large lake to us is Lake Erie… and as many know, any lake effect snow coming from that lake goes across central and northeastern Ohio. I am not complaining, however, because those who do get lake effect snow can get well over a foot of snow… even from slight moisture in the air.

The region I live in is very weird in that northern Michigan (the upper peninsula) is almost always 20-30 degrees colder in both the daytime and nighttime temps. For example, I looked at the Sunday newspaper not too long ago and it showed Marquette, Michigan at 29 degrees F. and Ann Arbor, Michigan at 57*F. Big difference in just one state!

Speaking of warm weather, it is supposed to be 61* F. here tomorrow! :D
