Do you like snow?

Lived in it and shoveled it for most of my life. I was a full time Ski instructor for 16 years part of which was in Sun Valley ID where I spent on average of 125 days a year on the hill . You might say that I love the snow but have had my fill of it. Knees are shot from the skiing as well.

I love snow as long as it means I can go skiing. Having snow makes -25C temps somewhat more bearable too. I get pretty tired of it by February though, and hate when we get a snowstorm in March after all the snow just finished melting. The worst is the freak snowstorms we've had in May...it'll be 25-30C for a little while, then all of a sudden it gets cold and there's a ton of snow! Doesn't last long fortunately. I'm still trying to figure out why people settled here, and how in the world settlers survived the brutal winter on the prairies.

I live in the Calgary-Banff area. I can see snow year round if I want to. On the record it has snowed every month of the year - yes, including Jun, Jul, and Aug. Snow is beautiful and is a huge part of our tourism industry. So shovelling the drive way occasionally is a happy compromise I don't mind making.

I live in the edmonton alberta area, so, I am so very sick of snow, and weather so cold that when I walk across the street for a pack of smokes (bundled up of course) I run the risk of frostbite...
oh and the other wonderful things like
-car doors freezing shut
-windows frozen shut, and 3 inches of ice on the INSIDE
-hand getting stuck to keys when opening the main apartment door
-tounge/lips freezing to the zipper on your jacket
-heater in my apartment breaking down (not the whole building, just my apartment) and living in rooms just above freezing (at least the landlord let me put my fishtanks in the hallway, with a sign explaining why they are there)

okay, I cant talk about this anymore.... Give ME SUMMER!!!
