I LOVE snow!!! I wish it would snow more than a few inches when it snows here.

Hey fishsmurf...that was really interesting. You should post those more often, or PM them to me, because it is neat to know how the weather is where my relatives are.

I like snow when there is time to play in it. But I hate driving to work in it.

Snowshoeing, skating (on ice of course), skiing are all great things. I even like winter camping.

But Iw oudl still rather be on my bike right now and I won't with the snow around (my last bike ride was Christmas day).

Although i like summer more, i still love snow and will miss it when i move out of michigan.

who says you can't ride your bike on snow and ice? if that bike comes with a motor I could see why that would be chalengeing, but I ride my bicycle in all weather. including last weeks skateing rink everywhere, black ice everywhere you went then.

I suspect that those who love snow also do not get much of it. Sure, there is always that select few who live in the mountains (or a cold region), and LOVE snow… but as for the rest of us, well – the grass is always greener on the other side (literally in a sense!).

If you live someplace really warm, you’d probably go through phases when you’d like cold and snow. Others who live in the cold almost always wish for warmth and sunny days. That’s just how we weird humans are.

As someone who grew up on the beach in Virginia, I would love to have snow for Christmas time, and then go back to spring (and summer).

Very good point AFG! that is very true!

I live in the interior of British Columbia, Canada. I get lots and lots of snow around my home every year. We got over 2 feet in the past three days! And I am loving it!!

We haven't gotten any snow to speak of here in Maryland and usually we have had at least a storm or two by now in fact it is really warm this time of year for us 50's and 60's, we are getting lots of rain so if the temp would drop a tad it would be lots of snow but my kids are out of luck and they are hating it. Me I don't care how much snow is on the ground as long as the roads are dry and clear, being a nurse I have to work no matter what the weather is and at least if the roads are nice and clear I don't get stuck at the hospital ;)

I like the snow. Don't mind shoveling. Don't mind bad roads, though I'll opt not to go someplace if it's too bad. Plus, working for a wildlife agency and coming from an agricultural/ranching background--snow is crucial in the Rockies. Without enough snow, it's drought time, and that sucks. Snow pack provides most of the water in local rivers and reservoirs come summer time.

I like the snow and cold, probably my cheif complaint with Ohio weather is the lack of a decent winter time, or any real long term cold and snow. I plan to retire somewhere like international falls minnesota, or maybe somewhere in montana. I really love ice fishing and of course Ohio is useless for that as a rule. Shoveling doesn't bother me, and my truck is equipped for good mobility, the only place I've ever been that was too cold for my liking was Wabush Newfoundland in January, but it was tolerable, and they had about 9 feet of snow when I was there so the trip and the cold were worth it.

I LOVE snow!! Snow means summer is over! I hate the heat and humidity, with a passion... I'd much rather shovel snow than wipe sweat from my forehead. My son loves playing in the snow, eating the snow (he knows to avoid yellow snow ;) ) and especially loves snowball fights with my hubby and I. Snow is pretty when it's coming down, especially the snow that was coming down this past weekend, stickign to the trees and street lights in just that picture perfect postcard way!

I don't like driving when the roads are bad because OTHERS drive like you-know-whats when the roads are bad. I also don't like taking the subway to work when it's actively snowing, because we have a lot of stops outside of the tunnels and it tends to slow the ride down. However, I realize that I live in New England, snow is a part of winter (and sometimes spring!) life here, and I take that all in stride!

My only real gripe with winter is my parking situation at home -- we have on street parking, and from Dec 1st to April 1st you can only park on one side of the road (since this winter began in 2004, we must park on the even side of the road). I got a $10 ticket last night, because despite driving 26 houses up one way, 2 houses the other way and onto the cross street, I couldn't find a spot on the even side, and had to park on the odd side...

I *heart* snow!!
