Does anyone who has their fishtank on a cabinet have issues with spiders and spiderwebs in their cabinet. I had huge black spiders (we are talking hairless terantula size) that made their home in my cabinet. I always say where they caught godzilla moths in their web so I knew how they were thriving under there. I thought it was a florida thing but I now have them in my cabinet in Georgia. The salt spray gets all in their web but they seem to really like this spot. The only bug/insect that gets in the house and that I have seen in their webs are scorpions. Could the water and salt be something they need to survive? I don't have this issue with my freshwater cabinet.

Maybe you just have a little infestation in the cabinet that is breeding a happy spider family. Ive never had any problems with any spiders living in my cabinet, i think im in there to often for them to get comfortable :)

YUCK. stop it with the spider speak. that freaks me out. I am scared to death. NO, I do not have that problem. YUCK YUCK ewww

I actually vacuum out the cabinet with every water change. I told the pest control guy about it but I absolutely will not let him treat anywhere near my tank. Maybe it is a southern thing.

Where do you keep your tank? In the woods behind the house? Mine's in the living room. If we had a problem with big spiders and tarantulas in there. . . I'd be very surprised and suspect some major structural defect with the house. . . some big hole somewhere. . .

Anyway, yuck! :)

HOLY Crap!! Where do you live anyway?
thankfully, no, I don't have that problem.
-Whew!!

I get spiders and cobwebs in my cabinets sometimes, I just vacuum them out periodically.

Spiders? Hey, I could see some regular spiders congregating, but scorpion like ones??? Is it the same cabinet you had before the move? If so, then the answer is in the cabinet, not the salt.
