Does anyone keep Cyrtocara Moorii with Mbuna?

The OB peacock is looking really stunning, Kop!

Yep i agree.. well this is her second batch at holding eggs, the first batch really didn't seem like she had too many eggs this time wow she is full and looking like she will explode from so many eggs.. later bro..

How's it going Dudes?

Anyway, this trio of Afra White Top I have is proving amazing. I've already had one batch from them, now I have both females holding again. The male is a stunner, and must love his life with his two harlets.

Had some hybrids from a Jacobfreibergi female and an OB Peacock but luckily I haven't seen these in a few days since an initial siting after release.

It's all good.

I'm glad to know all is good, Kop! Take care, dude!

cool deal bro.. yeah i am going to strip all of my females this sunday i have 2 female Saulosi, female Rusty and a female Tropheops red fin holding and i will need to strip them if not i will probably lose all fry due to amount of fish in my 55gal..

I'm missing out on loads of fry cos I just can't catch the holders! Removing the big boulders isn't really an option just to catch a fish.

From the original batch of Rusty and Afra White top Fry (the ones that were released into the tank), I only have 3 survivors but they look like they are going to make it. One of them is just under an inch now and the others are a tiny bit less. They are out and about quite a bit making their big break into the larger community.

I managed to catch an Afra White Top a few weeks ago so I have 7 fry from her. 3 were sucked out the trap and were eaten (trap fixed since). I was pleased to do my first stripping.

Another Afra White oop released into the tank a few days ago, soon as that happened a Rusty was suddenly holding.

BUT STILL NO LAB BREEDING?!

Got a nice 130L setup for fry now and a collection of young Bristlenose plecs.

Cool i just stripped another female Lundu a few minutes ago got like 10 fry from her..

Hi, Kop! Good to see you are back after almost a month. Take care of your fishes and yourself! And be patient with the labs.

I finally converted my old community tank to something acceptable for Malawi fry. Its still in the living room so I decided to go with sand instead of a bare bottom. Most of the gunk stays on top so it is ok to clean.

Stats:

130L

Filters: 600L/H Aqua One trickle filter in hood (protected by large sponge on left of pic), Air Filter powered by airstone. Eheim 400 Air pump. Filter contains ceramic rings and sponge.

Argos Play Sand. Ocean Rock. Small peice of bogwood for the Plecs. Moss Balls (which the fry prefer than the rocks).

There is one rogue fry in those pics cos I couldn't catch the holder, but manged to scoop up a single fry when it was hiding in a floating plant. The rest are all from the above. Rusty due for stripping next week too.
