Our cat still isn't too sure about her.. he will come out when she's eating and wait until she moves.. then dives into her bowl lol and he's even sniffed her nose without hissing :grinno:
And now me and my mom are looking at another little pitiful girl who was found a few miles from us.. not much of a chance at adopting this new little girl, but we may go visit her:
Hi, my name is Gracie. I am approx. 3 months old and weigh 11 lbs. I am a tiny Pit Bull who is desperate for a loving home. I was found wandering the streets wondering where my mommy was. Animal Control was very angry when they picked me up because someone had cut my ears off with scissors or a knife. Everyone thinks that someone wanted me to fight. Rainbow Rescue won?t let anyone do that to me. Animal Control never found who did it, but it didn?t change my temperament. I love everyone- dogs, cats, people, and especially my bed. It is so warm and cozy and I have a wonderful foster mom who is caring for me! I have been given my first vaccinations and was given medicine for tape worms. I feel much better now. I will be spayed when I am a little older as Rainbow feels that I am too young now. I?ll be waiting to hear from Dallas or Esther telling me that I have a new home.
be sure to check your local variance, bg, even if taking in one from the street for a few days. Most town ordinances allow 4 as the max amount of dogs on the property before needing a kennel license. (In addition to that, max is 5 or 6 cats on the property without having to have the cats individually licensed. Any more than 5 or 6 and each needs a license or you need a kennel license). Along with the kennel licenses come the fences and permits and all that so... just make sure you know what they are before you go too far to help and wind up in troube because of it.
We don't plan on adopting anyone, at least until our 13yo has passed, which could be years.. I'm still going to check the legal limit though, I know the limit was 4 in Richmond Va.
the only reason I know is because of the limits in Jersey being 4 too... I had looked this up a few years ago.... I would think with the recent dog fighting issues in Va, that the towns/cities would be pretty strict as well...
