DONT GO GREEN

oh thats much easier

instead of becoming really sick, you can just hold your breath!

lets all go orange.

Sorry guys, but I vote blue. We can all be smurfs then I guess! LOL

I kinda like red

lets go color blind while we are at it. I guess its kind of good since some people aren't aware on wats happening, but advertising for $$$ makes me sick.
LMAO!  :headbang2:

its the fact that its part of popular culture that bugs so much... dont get me wrong im all for people going green in the sense that there helping the enviroment but its sad that people had to wait until it became part of pop culture to do anything about it!! we have known about our negative impact on the enviroment for DECADES!!

just call it going blue and plaid.

my question to you... if you are acknowledging that pop culture had a huge effect on awareness, then why are you angry about it?

you should be happy that finally they figured out how to make the entire world (and your age group, specifically) aware.

:iagree: Who cares "why" the general population finally started to "go green" as long as they did. Hopefully that after the novelty has worn off it will be so much of a habit that they will not revert back to old ways.

Ill recycle my plastic and cans ,use less toxic cleaners for the household stuff. Have a few trees in my yard, and if they ever get a large reliable hybird suv ill buy it..But NASA doesnt hear about there rocket fuel usage,or airlines jet fuel.. There the ones blowing toxins right onto the ozone layer, but dont use spray on deoderant LOL

also.. something else to keep in mind.. volcano eruptions (a purely natural occurance) have alone done more 'damage' to the atmosphere and the environment than we have, or ever WILL, in our entire existence of species.

and theyre going to keep erupting. because everything is a cycle. the earth wasnt made to last forever. species have been going extinct now since the beginning of time, and new species fill the niches as they go. (you hear about all the extinctions... try looking up how often they find new species, you'll see there is a WHOLE lot more of that going on than the media lets on to. ;))

are we damaging the environment? yes. are we really that big of a contributor to the detriment of the environment vs. the natural evolution of the earth as has been going on since LONG before our technologies allowed us to? absolutely not.

be green. recycle. its good for the earth, and its not wasteful (which is always a good thing). but nobody will ever prove to me that we are the ones 'ruining' the world.

people just don't like change, and the world is changing.

and the fact that buying a car that gets more than 3 mpg saves a bunch of $$ that you can use for fish tanks.

i guess ive got a bit of a resentment towards the stupiditty of people sometimes, weve known about our impact on the world for a really long time. i think that well probably go bac kto being un enviromentally friendly after the pop culture part of it fades, but i hope we dont. im angry about it because it shows peoples dumbness.

i probly sound pretty stupid too:grinyes:
