dont you get tired

seeing such awesome planted tanks really makes me depressed.Sheesh!

The first 50 or so are all mind blowing. They all seem to be from Poland or Czech Republic. Something fishy going on over there.

So fish_0.... do you see the possibilities? I dont think anyone could get bored of any fish if they were surrounded by that.

Here is the top 10 fake planted tanks on that site. Just goes to show, a little bit of thought and good maintanance can make them just as impressive, and you dont have the workload plants (can sometimes) put on!

everytime i re-design my tank I end up gettign it a little better ...

It takes a bit of practice with live plants and driftwood but it will come.

Fish-O hasn't done anything that I percieve as morally wrong.

He set up a tank ..didn't like the way it was set up and gave the fish to his friends..he didn't flush them or toss them back .

he found someone that would take them so he could find his niche. maybe it was price as a determining factor. could be the species was more interesting.

some see them as pets, in some worlds they are food..they raise them, then eat them.

if you see them as pets..that's fine others have a different perspective.

your moral perspective may be dis-similar..could that be because you have a different background and picked up a different perspective.

if you get rid of fish because you find them aggressive..how much different is it than if you don't find them as interesting.

we constantly see people trading fish to try other fish. there is nothing wrong with that.
it's all a matter of perspective
IMHO

This is why many people have MTS.....mulitple tank syndrome....
But yeah, pets arent disposable. They are yours. You picked them. You have a responsibility to care for them. And the fact that you said youd "buy new ones only if they are cheap like platys but if i have an angelfish im keeping it cause it cost too much"....thats just sad, on so many levels. It sounds like youd be better off with plastic fish or just apreciating other peoples tanks. I really didnt get from his posts that it was all about aggression, nor do I think he views them as food items. Commodities, yes. And most of us here would agree that just giving them away to someone might not be the best thing for the fish, as most people (I should say, most pre-AC people) dont know the best way to care for fish.

tell me about multiple tank syndrome I have 6...LOL

but before we judge lets get the facts..or for that matter is it our place to judge??

we don't know if his friend raises fish. I personally know of a guy who takes orphaned fish and provided a comfortable living for them. might this also be the case.

his attitude may not be all that great..but that doesn't mean he's/she's a bad person.
it may be all in the way we communicate. some are just better at it.

Youre right.
:duh:

Fish are not fads or novelties. They shouldn't get old. YOU took control of their lives, YOU are expected to FEED the fish and support its NEEDS. You dont "rent" fish and take them back in 5 days.
