Fish-O hasn't done anything that I percieve as morally wrong.

He set up a tank ..didn't like the way it was set up and gave the fish to his friends..he didn't flush them or toss them back .

he found someone that would take them so he could find his niche. maybe it was price as a determining factor. could be the species was more interesting.

some see them as pets, in some worlds they are food..they raise them, then eat them.

if you see them as pets..that's fine others have a different perspective.

your moral perspective may be dis-similar..could that be because you have a different background and picked up a different perspective.

if you get rid of fish because you find them aggressive..how much different is it than if you don't find them as interesting.

we constantly see people trading fish to try other fish. there is nothing wrong with that.
it's all a matter of perspective
IMHO

I totally agree. He gave the fish to his friends. Did not kill them but gave them to someone instead. I see nothing wrong here. Now if he came on here and said that he gets tired of fish so he flushes them down the toilet then gets new ones then that would be a problem.

Doesn't matter "HOW " he got rid of it, the point is you shouldn't buy fish if your just gonna give them to somebody else or take them back. Now I would understand if they got to big or got to aggresive but giving them away cause you were bored with them is no excuse.

PS But good job on not flushing them, I guess. :thm:

I think the problem is that Fish_0 doesnt realise that the most boring fish can still be great watch if the tank is set up properly.

Fish_0 if you can upload any photos of what you already have got going on, plenty of people will advise you on how to get it looking great! I think you'll definately appreciate the fish more when their home is full of life too.

I see what you are saying. But I know a large group of people who buy or trade fish and give them away when they are done. We establish the conditions, achieve breeding and raising the fry. Observe behavior for knowledge and then more on to anoter species/genus. They are not long term pets, but a learning experience. I for one am glad he found an acceptable home for the ones he did not want.
