Driving Test

According to my FHM, don't know how accurate it is but it says for a 180 pound man it would take 5.8 shots of Listerine to get to .08 blood alcohol level. Which would pretty much give you maybe a little over 1 shots worth to hit .02. Not sure but I think you'd have to actually swallow the Listerine to achieve that. Which would likely make you sick anyway.

Beyond that, it's not hard for someone under age to get alcohol. I started drinking beer right around 14 or so. Easy access when they are in the fridge all the time. I never left home when I drank so nobody really cared. I'm sure most have been to parties and seen people drinking when they aren't 21 yet.

In Utah the legal limit is .08, has been for as long as I've driven. 8 going on 9 years now. I only get .04 now cause I have to drive a truck which requires I maintain a CDL.

On another note, for parallel parking (for my CDL, I can't remember 8 years ago) but we got 10 feet beyond the length of our truck to parallel park it in. I would assume a car would be the same or at least pretty close.

I hope I've helped some in my ramblings.

Yeah, but how can we be legally intoxicated under .02 if we can't have booze under 21? To me that don't make sense but thats Ohio law I guess>

There are other things besides beer, wine, etc that can cause there to be alcohol in your blood. That's probably why they have that built into the law. I mentioned a couple of things, but a lot of liquid medicines have an alcohol base. Some cough medicines can have quite a lot.

The same thing can happen with other drug testing..I had a friend that ate poppyseed muffins before he did a drug test and it influenced the results. They had him retake it. Poppys are the source for opium.

The .02 for underage is in Iowa too. It is pretty much put in place to nail a minor twice for the same thing. A buddy of mine(he's kinda dumb), got pulled over and was given an OWI, along with posession. He was served at a bar.(yes, bars will do that). He is 19, and tried to fight the OWI, because he blew a .06. Which is under the legal limit of .08. However, being a minor, and that he is not supposed to be drinking, .02 is the legal limit. So, the OWI stay in, along with the posession fine. His bills so far are about $1500, and rising. Drinking and driving is expensive!

I might be wrong but at least in Massachusetts I don't believe it is illegal for a minor to consume alcohol. Its the serving part that is illegal. So, its illegal for a bar or liquor store to sell you alcohol but it is legal for you parent or legal guardian to allow you to consume alcohol under their supervision.

I may be way off on that but its my recollection.

Well I passed my written driving test of 50 questions and I scored 88 out of 100 and it was a pretty easy test and most of it was common sense questions.

I still have to drive 8 hours with the instructer and all the kids at my school says that he takes along time before you get to drive with him because he goes down the list and I am number 8 out of 12 people. He said it could take 3-5 weeks before I get do drive. His business is a private mom and pop business and I think cost a little more than AAA. I only chose that school because it is located right up the road from my house and it is very close.
