I have been doing quite a bit of shopping from them as I don't mind waiting an extra few days to benefit from the savings. Even after paying shipping it still comes in far less than our LFS's.

I also called Marineland to get a new lid for an Emperor 400 as I could not find one online with any retailer. The CSR tried to find a retailer that had one and also struck out. She asked for my mailing address and name and said they would send one out free of charge! She never asked why I needed one.

Sometimes it pays to be honest.

Agreed. I had ordered 100 lbs of eco-complete and about $100+ of other merchandise and shipping was only $14! Well, one box came late and was soaked..the shipping co had broken the box (and the bag inside so the water keeping the gravel "live" or whatever had leaked everywhere) They had wrapped it with paking tape and tried to make it look like nothing had happened..>_> haha. Anyway I called Dr.F&S and they had another bag sent out right away even though it was not their fault. The woman on the phone was very pleasent! (and spoke english! *gasp*) I have worked in customer service and I know it sucks so I always appreciate those who go above and beyond- which DFS does.

ps- for anyone into electronics- newegg.com also has the best customer service, amazing prices and lighting fast shipping! (shameless plug ..I just bought a DVD burner with lightscribe from them for $23, free shipping and I got it 24 hours later..)
