What species can breed on their own in a community tank? They have to be plant friendly, tolerate 76 degree water, and not mess with my 2 bristlenose plecos or my weather loach.

Also, what's a good site to get dwarf chiclids off of?

Apistos would work. But to breed them they may want the water a bit warmer. Check the classifieds here to buy them.

What species of apisto would be easiest to breed, coloration is secondary...

Would bolivian rams be fine in 76 degree water, or do they require 80-82 like the german rams?

How big is the tank? Size is important even for dwarf cichlids as their tempers can flare when breeding.

55 gallon, and when I get them the only stock will be my weather loach, and two juvie BN's that I plan on breeding in the future. (I plan on getting each a mate, so that I can mix up the bloodlines a bit.)

There will be driftwood, and plenty of plants. Filtration is a 60 gal top fin power filter, a sponge filter, and an aqueon 20 quietflow (rated for a 30 gal).

Apisto Borelyi is a good tolerant species also Keyhole Cichlids are great as well..

I am because of my weather loach, I don't think that he'll live in anything much higher...

thanks pittbull! My top choice are keyhole's right now... keep em coming!
