Dwarf Crays

I love crays, but they're such messy eaters. Needs a tight lid, they are very adventurous. That's how mines ended up under my desk.

Now I prefer them boiled, super spicy please. jk

Very nice pics, Borat approves

I was thinking of getting 5 of them... What is the best number if you want to be sure to have the best chance at males and females?

tiny guy!

I doubt these little guys will be able to escape from a 18" tank, but you never know...

wow yours are already at it...i have had mine for a couple weeks and nothing.i don't know if thats a close up or not but yours look a whole lot bigger than mine.mine are about the size of a cherry shrimp.how big are yours?yours also have alot darker and nicer coloration. My crays have a brown blah color lol
lol mine were at it from the time they were in the shipping bag.
Yee it is a close up a very up close and personal shot lol, they are all about 3/4" big. And as far as colors i told you before they are somewhat brown but do have other funky designs on them. (still want to see pictures of yours)
And btw they said just give them plenty of space and food and they will breed.. Well i have mine in a breeder tank (one of those that floats on top) I just filled it with rocks and tons of guppygrass, java moss and they are chilling there for now, and attempting to breed without a problem.

5 would be a good number, though when the person is shipping them he wont be checking out their sexes, with 5 you still have a great chance of having 1-2 females if not more.. And as fishy said some sellers send out extras.

crayfish are easily sexed.

The males' legs would look similar to each other. It's very easy to spot the female genital opening.
