I went to Petsmart to pick up some air tubing for a drip acclimation and found that they had DP's which I have been looking for the last 6 mths or so. I know, much Like everybody else on here I hate Petsmart, but I wanted the DP's so now I have four of those little guys. They are in a species only tank. I'll try to get some pics later on

cool :) I went into our new petsmart the other day and was actually quite impressed.

compared to our other big chain petstore (superpetz) the place was clean and the staf fwas fairly knowledgeable. They had the adult sizes and other good info on the pricing cards in front of the tanks, and for the most part didn't have fish mixed with species they shouldnt' be mixed with (with the possible exception of firemouths and bolivian rams... the firemouts were a little grumpy I thought)

anyway, the fish all looked healthy and had orange slices and lettuce in their tanks, and I was really impressed. no dead bodies in the tanks or anything. I got my pair of rams and a couple otos (my one remaining from my first group needed friends) there and they have been doing great.

Same here. I was rather surprised with the step up in quality of their fish compared to past times. I think I only saw maybe one dead fish in all the tanks, which is great compared to previous times I've been in there

hey on the DP thing, they are hard to get to eat, so i would suggest getting some bloodworms, Hakari seems to have some good colored, not too big sized worms. They usually won't take flake food.

ive got a bunch of pond snails that are fairly small...ive put a few in their tank and ive already seen them munching on a few of them...ive also got some frozen BW, which ive heard they will often take.

Started a 10 gal DP tank about three weeks ago. Feeding frozen BWs and Brine Shrimp. Have to say these little guys are really growing on me. Have a 20 gal African tank and a 55 gal South Amer. tank as well but starting to dig the DPs the most.

i was feeding my GSP's blood worms and brine shrimp and have now ran into big beak problems, not sure if dwarf puffers have the same issues though, i would think they would considering they all have that same kind of beak, might want to start up a snail tnk of some sort....anyway just wanted to warn you.

Whats needed to start breeding snails. Already have my hands full with four other tanks so I don't really want more work but it would save the trips to my LFS where they give them to me for free.
