The big earthquake wouldn't damage anything too much. The houses in California are made to survive 8.5 earthquakes, and people who DO die in them have ghetto houses.

That stat is totally made up, and totally wrong.

You don't see many houses made of pure precast concrete...and this was only 8.0 magnitude...
