i would say guppies, platies, swords, or danios. actually, i've had pretty good luck with my neons but i added them to a 55g established tank. i've lost one in the two months i've had them.

erm well ive had a sissortail wiich has lasted me ages and is a very very hardy fish that shouldnt die that easly
easiest warm water fish is probably livebeareres or debra danios
