EASY SALTWATER QUESTIONS?????????

It's possible for a sw tank to cycle that fast when you start out with cured LR. I had added partially cured LR to my sw and barely noticed a cycle to mine at all...however, I went the overly cautious approach and waited about 2 months before adding fish. I did start adding the clean up crew after only about 2 weeks though.

I would wait on the coral until the tank has had a chance to settle in. And yes, I do remember how hard it was to wait to add the fish.....lol....putting the hermits and shrimp in helped some...at least I had something to watch until the fish came. It was also interesting to see what came popping out of the rock after awhile.

Have fun with your first sw Kano, sounds like your off to a good start !

So this is what im am going to do in steps:
1.Today im adding cleaning crew snails and hermits.
2.Watch them for a while see if they get along ect.
3.Add clowns next week some time if its all ok like my parameters.
4.Watch the clowns for a while.
5.Then in about 6 weeks when everything is established get the enemone.

Yes my lighting i have got a 2 bulb jebo light then i got a blue marine light and ill wait and keep testing for another 3 weeks......

Need more details... 2 bulbs tells me (and anyone else) very little. What type of bulbs are they (t-5, t-8, pc, etc.), what wattage, etc.

Wait atleast six months not 6 weeks before adding your nem... they are not hardy creatures also realise that they are predatory to anything wich moves and doesn't normally live in an anemone... so your crabs, snails and shrimp... are likely to become lunch at one point or another. In six weeks, you could probably add some soft corals though. FWIW, I waited six months before even adding mushroom corals (almost industructible as far as corals go).

Yes, coral banded shrimp are fine... but you need to learn to follow the advise you are given... Research anything you put in your tank BEFORE you put it in your tank and as said in the other thread SLOW down. Only bad things happen quick in this hobby.
