Eheim 2028

i'll stick with the FX5 anyday over the OVERPRICED eheim.

Here's a nice comparison, not the 2262 but you get the hint.

You made my case, but why? Because the amount of media capacity past the first inch means absolutely nothing without the surface area to expose it to the environment, why your car air/oil, home AC, and Ice maker filters are all hollow not thick and layered because anything past the first surface layer is not being used except biologically and you have the entire aquarium, its sand and all the surface area to do that.
"Mechanical filtration We wanted to test the ability of these filters to remove particals from the water so we emptied a big container of tetrabits near the intakes. The Filters both did a great job catching most of the gunk in their pads but if I had to give to one of them I'd give it to the Fluval that 25 litres of foam really can catch some gunk!"

All I can say is when you own an Eheim you will know the difference.

Back to the OP congrats on a super deal!

Hay and you know what, congratulations to the author for this thread for his amazing find. I certainly would love to have one at that price as no doubt they are a very good filter that is also easy on the eyes.
Here is the picture you asked for. Can a mod rotate the picture.
