Eheim vs Marineland Canister Filters

I've seen folks complaining about Marineland canister filters leaking, so I'd avoid those. Eheims are quality filters, hold up better long-term, but for the price don't pump as much water as other filters. If you're hung up on max flow rate go with another brand, but IME they're good for the tank size they're rated for.

I've had mine for awhile now and it doesnt leak. People just need to do regular maintenance and check all seals and clean when needed. Only complaint I really have is they can be quite loud till all air gaps are filled within the filter.
