Emily's Pond Build Log

yes, existing tanks. not qt tanks. That would defeat the purpose of the QT I think. :) I have 4 existing tanks in the house (3 tropicals and one cool water w/ 2 goldies), so I'll be draining those tanks into the pond. The QT tanks would be drained into the garden (where my other tanks normally drain).

So im reading and looking through all your pics on here and saw the one w/ you in the wet suit and thought hey she looks familiar.. im pretty sure we went to school together a long time ago..what are the odds? lol
Great job on the pond btw!

Finally a nice weekend! We got the filter assembled and installed and started the plumbing for the pump. Need to finish that up and then paint the pvc black to better disguise it and then we can install the pump and plumbing. Hopefully the electric will be done in the next week or two so we can actually run the pump once it is installed.

Just a few updated pics from working on the filter last weekend. It isn't done yet. And the weather isnt' cooperating this weekend to get back in there, but hopefully things will warm up a bit soon.

Sadly no. The weather hasn't been overly cooperative, and things have been a bit busy. I've built some of the plumbing and painted it, but it's just in the garage at the moment. I need to get back in the pond to measure the last few pieces of plumbing, so we may do that this weekend. Also need to determine the timeframe to bring in rocks for the pond. Those are really the last two pieces -getting the filter running, and getting the rocks in place, and then we can begin the cycle. :)
