well i got the tank and its awsome. in another thread ill show you what all i got.

suggestions on some rifties i can get(perfer tanganyika). i need some ideas before i go to daves.

Why don't you see what dave has to offer, find something you like, then research to see if it will work. We could list fish all day, but if he doesnt have it or can't get it, it doesn't make much sense.

ill order online if i cant find them at his store. id do that now. but the locks on this *** computer wont let me see his site so i dont go often. plus, i know all of his tanganyikan stock.

Do you have an idea of what you want?

well i want something that is active

i really like my

multies. but the only problem with them is that i know that they are a seclusive species, and since this tank is going to be in the living room i dont want something that will dart away at the sight of people.

Yeah i put my colony of Multi's in a 20 long and they dart into the Texas rocks with gusto when i approach, they didn't do that when they were in the 55gal, i would do a breeding pair of Brichardi's..

really? i was advised against that earlier.

I know i seen that comment.. And everyone is entitled to their opinion.. Ok here is the thing if you take one pair they will breed and form a colony when the colony gets too big the aggression elimination will begin so what you will have to do is juvie intervention with removal to keep the balance in check.. Just as long as the original pair is the only adult breeders to reside in this tank.. when the juvies turn into breeders with each other is where you will see the problems..

As for other fish i would say no only the breeding pair of Brichardi's is what you will need in that tank so in a way it will be a species tank to say, as for dithers if you want them, you could go with like 3 to 4 Zebra Danio's for top water action or 3 Preacox rainbowfish..

I know that there will be some replies in the sense that this isnt enough room but i have successfully kept and bred Brichardi's in a 30 even a 20 so of course if you try this monitor the situation because not all fish are created equal in the sense that sometimes you will get a pair that is laid back or pyshco.. hit or miss type of situation..

Good luck buddy..

ok ill have to ask dave. i believe that he has a pair i can buy. there are different types of brichardi like fish arnt there? they are called like fairy cichlids or something like that.

ok here they are. i had to go around and find them

these are the other species that are almost exactly like the brichardi's but have cooler colors or looks.

Neolamprologus cyngus
