I just did a 50% water change when I saw one of my glowfish tetras in this condition. Should I go ahead an euthanize it? Ice water method is fine?

euthanize

I wouldn't, unless you are breeding them. As long as it gets around and eats fine I would leave it be. But then again I am a softy about these things. Probably why I never breed fish :)

genetic most likely

Agreed - euthanize. It is more cruel allowing it to live. Causes can be fish TB, lack of proper vitamins, genetics.................

And difficult to prove who bred who who unless isolated to a seperate tank....

Euthanize, I can't imagine any quality of life in that state.
