Expensive fish

Hi,

The most expensive fish I've bought is a $12 Convict Cichlid. But if you add up all my Cories together, it's $50 dollars! I'm a lucky kid, my parents buy me the fish I want.

My yellow tang costs me $30. I've also paid $40 for a (relitively) large colony of button polyps. I could see myself spending much more than that though.

For freshwater fish I have spent as much as $50 dollars on a single discus and of course I bought all five of them at the same time so that was $250 dollars all at once on Discus. For saltwater I have spent $93 dollars on a purple tang.

well, I dropped $100 on a 24" silver aro. Thats the most I've paid for a fish. However, I have had insane offers that I turned down for a few of my fish.

I've been offered $350 for my chinese perch, $350 for my tigrinus (worth every penny), and $250 for my Jag (sounds insane, but he's nice:D)

I paid $40 for the perch, and I drove almost 700 miles to get a black arowana and tigrinus.

4 discus $50 then went back spent $20 for a pidgeon blood discus and $50 for a pair of red/white diamond discus(I'm always looking for a good deal.

$9.98 for Bob my "baby" JD...

And I thought that was expensive!

It's interesting to see how far people are willing to go (not to mention spend) on this hobby.
I think the money I spent on fish is absolutely no comparison to the money I spent on other equipment, food, medics, etc.

The most I've paid was $16, including shipping, for a pair of gold lyretail killies. I love them. I can't wait for them to grow and breed.
