Expensive fish

hmmmmmm.... $10-15?... it was a long time ago when i got an irridecent shark.. if it wasint that expensive the it was my bamboo shrimp now.. or angels... iono.. i try to forget the exact pricing :].. but i did just spend about 70 bucks in plants for my new tank... and a load more to come for PC lighting upgrade and discus... :] oh how i love to waste money :headbang2:

Many of my fish were in the $10-15 range when I bought them. I got some good deals on some of them by either lucking into a sale locally or buying from Aquabid. If you count the freight some of mine cost double!
The one thing that I have noticed when me and hubby go into our ma and pa ls...the bigger the fish the more expensive it becomes....all of our cichlids are in the range of 9-18 dollars when we first got them...and now they are almost the same size as the ones that are worth 25-50 dollars...our synodontis ocellifer is about 40...but the most expensive one to me is my BABY the betta...he is priceless...(even though I got him for 5.99, bowl and rocks included)...
it's weired how little people spend (generally) on fish compared to tanks and equiptment etc.... espetially when, ultimately the hobby is about he fish.
but then i supose you need the expensive equiptment to keep the inexpensive fish!
