Experience with Hang On Tank Magnum Canister Filter

IDK anything more about the C-series than you do. But I don't think you could go wrong with one of them.

Should work great on your tank!

Well, thanks SMinNC for you detailed paragraphs!
About the Co2 thing, thats okay, I was planning on just dealing with that by using a glass diffuser...

Yur welcome.

If/when I get around to useing a glass diffuser, I plan on putting it kinda sorta under the outlet of whatever. That way the bubbles will/should get blown sideways and stay down longer.

Ok thanks, I think I'm going to go with one C-160. For only 10 more $, it's worth the upgrade. Thanks Everyone!

no that comes with it, you will need it in the future tho, im just going to fill my own media bags with carbon or ammonia chips, it will be much cheaper!

If its being sold as new, it should come with all of that stuff.

From Drs site...

Includes: Polishing filter-floss pad, filter foam, carbon filter bag, bio-filter balls, inlet/outlet assembly, 5/8" ID tubing (3/4" ID for C-360 and 7/8" ID for C-530), and ceramic bio-filter rings (except Model C-160).

You could get extra bio-balls to use in place of the carbon. other than that, it should be ready to go.

So you can chose if you want bio balls or carbon?
EDIT: How long can i wait until i would have to change the media?
